A note from Jeancarlo

Most Kingsway homes went up between the 1920s and the 1940s. I love working on them, and every one is different. Behind the plaster we often find old wiring, an undersized service, or a panel that was never meant to run a kitchen, an EV and central air at the same time. My job is to bring all of that up to today’s standard without wrecking what makes the house special.

What we do in Kingsway homes

Panel and service upgrades

Moving from 60 or 100 amps to 200 amps, with a new breaker panel, a clean layout and labelled circuits. We file the ESA permit and coordinate the disconnect and reconnect with Toronto Hydro. Typical price: $3,900 to $4,800 plus HST (100 A to 200 A). You get a fixed price in writing before any work starts. Panel upgrades · Stab-Lok guide

Knob-and-tube and older wiring

Knob-and-tube wiring was used from the early 1900s to the 1940s, and many insurers now ask for it to be replaced before they’ll cover a home. We trace what’s in your walls, replace it room by room, and keep the plaster and trim damage small. You get an ESA certificate to show your insurer. Aluminum and knob-and-tube repair

EV chargers

Level 2 home chargers, including Tesla, ChargePoint, FLO and Grizzl-E, wired to the right size for your panel. If your service is too small, we’ll tell you upfront and give you the options. Typical price: from $1,595 plus HST. EV chargers · EV on a 100 amp panel

Lighting

Pot lights, Lutron dimmers and controls, and Liteline fixtures. We light Tudor ceilings, stairwells, gardens and driveways without cutting up the house.

Backup generators

Home standby generators with an automatic transfer switch, so the heat, sump pump and fridge keep running in an outage. The gas connection is done by a licensed gas fitter. Price: fixed quote after a site visit. Generators

What our clients say

We interviewed several electricians for a large and complex residential project, and Jeancarlo stood out immediately. From our first meeting, it was clear he operates at a much higher level than the other contractors we spoke with. … We highly recommend Jeancarlo without hesitation and would absolutely work with him again.

I recently bought my first house and contacted Energo Electric for a 100A to 200A service/panel upgrade in Etobicoke. Top-quality work very professional, clean, and well organized. They included the ESA inspection and coordinated a same-day hydro reconnect, which made the whole process easy.

Kismet D., Google review, February 2026

I had an EV charger and electrical outlet installed on the outside of my home in Etobicoke by Jeancarlo and his team today. He advised as to what would work best to meet my needs within my limited 100 Amp service. … Arranged for permits and inspection. Very clean, laying down tarps in areas where drilling was done and even vacuumed the area once work had been completed.

Questions Kingsway homeowners ask

My insurer says I have to replace my knob-and-tube wiring. Can you help?

Yes, we replace knob-and-tube wiring for insurance. We inspect, give you a fixed price to replace it, do the work under an ESA permit, and give you the ESA certificate for your insurer.

Do I need a 200 amp service?

Not always. If you’re adding an EV charger, central air, a heat pump or a big kitchen, often yes. We do a load calculation first and tell you honestly.

Will you damage my plaster and trim?

We keep plaster and trim damage to a minimum. We plan cable routes through basements, attics and closets, and any openings we make are small, neat and agreed with you first.

Do you get the permits?

Yes, we get the permits. We file the ESA notification and book the inspection. For service upgrades, we also coordinate with Toronto Hydro.

How fast can you come?

We reply within one business day and book the visit at a time that suits you.
